I was having lunch at a great little cafe in Queens the other day, listening like a fly on the wall to a group of attorney socialites. There was a big cocktail party on Martha's Vineyard not so long ago. Someone came up to this writer, I think it was Joseph Heller [author of Catch-22] and said "Joe, see that guy over there? He's a hedge fund manager, and he made more money yesterday than you made on all the books you have ever published." Heller looked over, paused, and said "Yeah, but I have something he'll never have: enough."
Ask youself this: do you have enough? It's an interesting question to think about, actually.
A joker, a smoker, a midnight toker, a lawyer, a firefighter, an emergency medical technician, a diver, a thriver, a survivor, a lover, a fighter, an all-nighter, a husband, a father, a son, and sometimes even a holy ghost- and most of all, a man struggling to take it easy.
